Today is the day that tangysweet opens. I feel like I’ve been waiting an eternity, but really it’s only been since… Tuesday? Wednesday? Ahh yes, Wednesday. That’s just downright pathetic, MJ. The DCist wrote:

The massive expansion of other similar chains hints that Tangysweet may do very well in D.C., and has Gordon already looking at opening two new locations in Penn Quarter, Columbia Heights, U Street, or Silver Spring by this time next year. But for now, he is focusing on the Dupont location. One of his first steps was to become a presenting sponsor of this year’s Capital Pride Parade, whose timing and route coincides well with his store opening and location. Gordon feels lucky to be sponsoring such an important event, but he is more happy that he is back in his hometown of D.C.

How am I so excited if I haven’t even tasted it yet? Well, if it’s as good as Pinkberry (ahh, I remember Pinkberry), or better (like the owner claims), then I think I have a new BFF in DC.
