  • Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) said this weekend that the GOP has “lacked the ability to be relevant to people’s lives” (Washington Times). Meanwhile, LA Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) said: “We can’t just be the ‘party of no’” (”Face the Nation“).
  • Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will hold “a random drawing” for his 350 tickets to Obama’s inauguration. “All you need is a New York address and a dream” (New York Daily News).
  • Efforts to bring Joe the Plumber to Las Vegas’ Global Gaming Expo “have gone down the drain” (Las Vegas Review-Journal).
  • Now that Obama has been elected, a “doodle” that he did of Senate Dem leaders “could fetch six figures on the open market” (Chicago Tribune).
  • VA-05 candidate Tom Perriello (D) is “on the market,” but due to the “rigors of campaigning,” he hasn’t exactly “been able to keep up the dating life” (Roll Call).
  • Incoming WH CoS Rahm Emanuel, who sat in coach on a US Airways flight to DC last week, was “multitasking with a BlackBerry in one hand, mobile phone in the other, reading the Wall Street Journal, and went straight to an article on” Palin (New York Post).
  • According to friends and advisers, Obama’s email messages “are generally crisp, properly spelled and free of symbols or emoticons” (New York Times).
  • Laura Bush “and five girlfriends” were “in dressy casual” at Oyamel on Saturday, where they shared a variety of traditional Mexican “antojitos” (”The Reliable Source“). [I love me some Oyamel. - Ed.]
