Internets, I found my missing diamond earring.
What diamond earring? Oh, only one of the earrings from the pair of (beautiful) diamond earrings that my Aunt Marlene gifted me before she died. I told almost no one that one went missing (about two years ago) because I was so ashamed. SO ASHAMED. They were more than just diamond earrings, they meant something. They had history and sentimental significance. And I lost one.
But, fair Internets, all is well because yesterday, while cleaning my lovely, amazing, perfect studio… I found the missing earring. It was hiding under a lamp. (I know. I don’t get it either.)
The relief that swept over me was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. Who knew it was such a big burden on my shoulders. Perhaps now I’ll sleep at night?

Totes lost one of the earrings my mother gave me. It fell down the drain my first day freshman year and it wasn’t until about 6 years after that I could bring myself to tell my mother — only when the story warrented it. Did I ever tell you about that? Anywhoo — point is I feel your pain! So happy for you!
